The 2023 World Rummikub Championship concluded last weekend in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with participants from over 40 countries competing for the prestigious title. After three days of intense competition, Maria Rodriguez from Spain emerged as the new World Champion.

"I've been playing Rummikub since I was a child, but I never imagined I would become the world champion," said Rodriguez after her victory. "The level of competition was incredible, and I'm honored to represent my country in this wonderful game."

Rummikub fans have a reason to celebrate as a new digital edition of the game has been released for mobile devices and computers. The new version features enhanced graphics, online multiplayer capabilities, and several new game modes.

The digital edition allows players to compete against friends or players from around the world, track their statistics, and participate in online tournaments. It's available on iOS, Android, and PC platforms.

To celebrate 70 years since Ephraim Hertzano first created Rummikub, a special limited edition anniversary set has been announced. The collector's item features premium materials, including wooden tiles, a deluxe carrying case, and a commemorative booklet detailing the history of the game.

Only 5,000 sets will be produced worldwide, with each one individually numbered. Pre-orders will begin next month, with shipping expected to start in December—just in time for the holiday season.
