Rummy Tile came over from Israel many years ago and at one point took the United States by storm. Rummikub combines the elements of several popular games such as Rummy and Mah-jongg. From the Mah-jongg you get the tile element, and from Rummy you get the numbers and jokers to make up the game. Although there is a huge element of luck, if you are a good player then your skill will come in handy when it comes to strategy and tactics you can use to win the game.

The two versions that are currently in play are the Israeli version, which can be quite complicated for younger or beginner players, and then you have the American version which is much more common and easy for everyone to play. Whereas the Israeli version is played by four or five people, the American version can be played by two to four people. It is much less complex and can be played at a much faster rate of speed which is perfect for an evening at home with family and friends. The basic elements are similar in both games, and you can study and play both versions to become highly skilled in whichever one you choose to play.

Although there are many objects to the game, the most important one is that you have a great time playing it. Whether or not you are playing competitively it is important to enjoy yourself and have a good time while using your brain for just a little while.
